PPA Webinar Series #20: Spotted Lanternfly Permit Review

The Department of Agriculture is hosting a webinar for PPA members to review the upcoming Spotted Laternfly Permit requirement beginning May 1, 2019. The quarantine zone now includes Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Dauphin [new], Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill counties. Businesses operating in the quarantine zone must have permits to move equipment and goods within and out of the zone. Failure to take the permit exam and educate employees could result in possible penalties and fines. • Why is this action necessary? • Who needs to the permit? • How do you get the permit? • Are all vehicles in the company fleet affected by the Lantern Fly Protocol?
