4 Hours to Build a Bear-Proof Duck Pen in Alaska

A black bear showed up at our Alaska homestead at the worst possible time. With only 4 hours before darkness and less than 24 hours before leaving on our Alaska adventure, we had no choice but to build a bear-proof duck pen using mostly recycled materials. What started as a simple afternoon project quickly turned into a race against the clock. Between unexpected setbacks, advice from the locals, and a curious bear eyeing our chickens and ducks, we had to figure out if we could finish before nightfall.
