They ABANDONED This Game... Beyond Good & Evil's Platinum

I kick the year off by platinuming one of my all time favourite childhood games. Beyond Good and Evil is such an underrated PS2 game. It's not one I've ever heard people talk about. Which leads me to ask, who remembers this game? An action-adventure game where Jade, an investigative reporter and martial artist, uncovers a government conspiracy surrounding an alien invasion on the planet Hillys. In the game we solve puzzles, fight enemies and obtain photographic evidence exposing the corruption. For such a young audience the games story and character design was incredibly well written. Originally releasing on the PS2 back in 2003 with the age rating PEGI 7, it's a fantastic entry level game to really encourage young minds in the development of pattern recognition and problem solving skills. I'm probably exposing myself to have the IQ of a small child but I had such a blast with this game and loved the puzzles! My biggest obstacle getting the platinum trophy was actually, myself. Before going for any platinum I like to check guides primarily to get an idea of the time to platinum, online trophies and glitched/problematic trophies. From there I usually loosely follow the guide and only refer to it when I genuinely feel stuck. However, the most important piece of advice was to not progress past the games point of no return before collecting ALL collectibles. I genuinely think its just apart of my identity to make things harder for myself but I ended up ignoring the advice. I thought it was just suggesting I have all the upgrades and health boosts before I progress. I honestly didn't think it would lock the free roam. The icing on the cake was the "Yo Pearl Pro" trophy. This is a mini game given to us for collecting all pearls! Not much of a reward since this almost prevented me getting the platinum! I salute anyone who got this trophy on their own! The fact this game is aimed at 7 years and up blows my mind that the developers thought such a young person would have the cognitive skills and co-ordination to achieve this... again, I could just be the problem! I absolutely love this game and had so much fun going for the platinum (minus the Yo Pearl trophy). This 20th anniversary remaster is amazing! A few forums mentioned glitches but I only had one glitch where the game frozen on a loading screen - nothing a simple reload can't fix (it had no effect on my playthrough).
