Updates on Tom Garro’s police brutality case
Here are several updates on Tom Garro’s situation — he is the 79-year-old Lyft driver who shared his harrowing experience of being brutally arrested by a deputy in Pinal County, Arizona. A 66-year-old Black passenger witnessed the incident, called 911 out of fear, and provided a statement supporting Garro. Garro’s attorney has filed a $1.5 million notice of claim against the county and a few days later the county filed charges against Garro.
