Week 2: “And with the rocks I cry out ‘praise the Lord, oh my soul!’” Understanding the kind of life God created us for. Week 3: WE are the body—“created in Christ Jesus to do good works” Understanding the kind of life God is calling us to live as his people, the Body of Christ. The beginning: we look to God’s original “good” intention in creating us The middle: we look to Jesus, the Word made flesh, becoming one of us, and his victory over sin and death on the cross and in his resurrection and ascension. The end: we look to the New Heavens and New Earth and what our new, imperishable spiritual bodies may be like, In light of of all this—creation, Jesus, and the new creation—how are we to live in this present life? How can our lives, lived in these bodies, proclaim the goodness of God’s creation, the victorious work of Jesus, and the life of the world to come? Honor God with your bodies in all that you do, as a living sacrifice, because your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
