The 657th St. Veit Meadow Market is in full swing! 80 groups from all over Carinthia, with around 2,000 active participants, ensured a spectacular opening parade from the train station to the meadow market grounds. The approximately two-kilometer route was lined with around 10,000 enthusiastic spectators, all eagerly awaiting the opening ceremony at the meadow market. There, the parade had to make its way through the crowds before Mayor Gerhard Mock, Meadow Market Coordinator Deputy Mayor Rudi Egger, and Governor Peter Kaiser officially declared the "Wies'n" (meadow) open in their opening speeches. Given the large turnout and the opening, organizers expect to reach the 500,000 visitor mark again this year. Up-to-date information is available daily on the St. Veit Meadow Market Facebook page.
