This video shares exactly what a budget-friendly stopover in Qatar looks like, including hotel costs, food prices, transport, and what you can realistically see in a short stay. I break down how the Qatar Airways stopover programme works, including the option for free 4-star hotels or discounted 5-star hotels, and whether upgrading is worth it. I also share how easy it is to get around Doha using Uber and the Doha Metro, plus what it’s like visiting Qatar in extreme summer heat. During this Qatar stopover, I explore Souq Waqif, walk along Doha Corniche, visit the National Museum of Qatar, and spend time around Lusail, the planned city built for the 2022 World Cup.
