Hurricane Irma hit the islands and destroyed 95% of Barbuda’s buildings and infrastructure, leaving Barbuda "barely habitable" Antigua and Barbuda’s GDP is 2.7 Billion ranked 173rd in the world, and GDP per Capita is about $29, 000. The currency is the East Caribbean dollar, American University of Antigua College of Medicine is another source of revenue.
