Born in 1903 in British India, he founded Jamaat-e-Islami. Maududi presented Islam as a complete way of life and critically analyzed Western ideologies. His writings addressed modern issues in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. He emphasized the establishment of an Islamic state governed by Sharia and the concept of Khilafah.
