To protect water quality, the use of picks, shovels, sluice boxes, or other heavy earth-moving tools is strictly prohibited. What to Bring: Bring your own gold pan, tweezers, and a classifier. Keep a sharp eye out for heavy black sand in your pan! Artifacts: If you uncover any historical artifacts (arrowheads, pottery, bones, etc.), leave them be and report them immediately to the forest office.
