Varaždin is a beautiful baroque town in northern Croatia located on the river Drava. In this walking video we are circling around its famous fortress called The Old Town Varaždin (Stari Grad Varaždin), marveling the changes of view and perspective. It is located at the northern edge of the historical center of Varaždin, separated from the city by embankments and moats. Construction of the fortress begun in the 14th and finished in 19th century - the result is a fortress which showcases various architectural styles from late medieval to renaissance and baroque. Today the entire Old Town is under governance of the Varaždin City Museum which was opened in 1925 in honor of the millennium anniversary of the Kingdom of Croatia.
