From Cheap RC Toy to Hobby-Grade Rc: "#rastar 1/14 Full Proportional #rc Conversion"

Today on Micromotor Madness, we’re taking a simple 1/14 scale Rastar BMW toy and transforming it into a fully proportional RC car! 🚗⚡️ This project is all about recycling spare parts instead of buying new ones. I used a Flysky ESC, a salvaged steering servo from an EasyRC Colorado, and some modified linkages to give this toy car precise steering and proportional throttle control. The car also gets working LED lights and keeps its cool butterfly doors powered by a custom winch controller. In this video, you’ll see step by step: Removing the stock toy-grade electronics Installing a hobby-grade ESC and steering servo Custom DIY steering linkage with rod ends and brass pivot balls Mounting, trimming, and modifying the chassis for clearance Adding lights and wiring the butterfly doors First test runs with and without the body 👉 The result? A toy transformed into a real RC hobby project—fun, agile, and ready for more upgrades.
