第四回葛原神楽6月定期公演　深山流朝地神楽保存会『貴見城』

On June 14, 2026, the 4th Kuzuhara Kagura Regular Performance was held at the Kuzuhara Kagura Hall in Kuzuharaura, Kamae, Saiki City, and the Kagura performance "Kimijo" by the Miyama-ryu Asaji Kagura Preservation Society, who were guest performers, was dedicated. The performance is based on the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters), specifically the story of Wadatsunomiya, Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan), and Umisachi Yamasachi, and tells the story of the brother gods Honosusori-no-Mikoto (also known as Hosuseri-no-Mikoto) and Hikohodemi-no-Mikoto, sons of Ninigi-no-Mikoto. The two brothers exchanged their fishing rods and bows and arrows. The dance depicts the younger brother, Hikohohodemi-no-Mikoto, fishing with his older brother, Hoori-no-Mikoto's fishing rod, when the hook is stolen. He makes a new hook and returns it to Hoori-no-Mikoto, but is pressured to return the original hook. With the help of the sea god, he visits the Sea God's Palace (Kimijo) and finds the hook. Notably, in the Ontake style, Watatsumi-no-Kami, Toyotama-hime, Tamayori-hime, and Ugayafukiaezu-no-Mikoto are all depicted with shaved heads, but in the Miyama-ryu Asaji Kagura Preservation Society style, the two princesses appear in more appropriate costumes!
