Don't Wait

This song was inspired by a conversation with a friend at work who wanted to give something meaningful to her mom but wasn’t sure whether to do it now or wait for the right moment. It made me think about my own mom and all the things I put off. The words I never said. The small moments that could have meant so much more if I had slowed down, opened up, or stopped telling myself there would always be tomorrow. I didn’t want to sound negative, but I told her that if it were me, I wouldn’t wait. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and sometimes the moment we keep waiting for never comes. For my mom, tomorrow never did. I made this song as a reminder to myself and anyone who needs to hear it: there is no perfect time waiting somewhere in the future. The perfect time is now. Now is the time to say what needs to be said. To forgive. To reach out. To give the gift. To listen a little longer. To let someone know they matter. We cannot change the moments we missed, but we can choose not to miss the ones still in front of us.
