The diplomatic crisis between Nigeria and the U.S. intensified as President Donald Trump released a new video, doubling down on his claims of "Christian Genocide" and reiterating his vow to defend Nigerian Christians, suggesting his administration remains unconvinced by Nigerian rebuttals. ​In Nigeria, Minister of Information Mohammed Idris accused "foreign lobbyists," particularly in the U.S., of fueling the genocide narrative to deliberately promote misleading portrayals of the country's security challenges for "undisclosed purposes," maintaining that no systematic targeting of any religious group exists.
