June 8, 2026 the Mahoning Shadow Trail and how to get through Punxsutawney from East to West

The Mahoning Shadow Trail , how to connect two parts of this three part trail. This video starts from just before the tunnel that goes under route 119 and going eastbound. After exiting the tunnel you have to go to the point where the trail comes to a street. There is a sign to turn left here but after that sign you are now left wondering which way ater making the left. In this video you will see that shortly after making the left you are going to have to make a right hand turn into a rough looking gravel parking lot. this parking lot has a feed store in it and a tire shop, there is no sign directing you to do this. You would never think that you were supposed to go that way , but you are supposed to do that. There is no signage as you are going through the parking lot just keep to the left and proceed to the back of the lot. You will see bollards up and to the left. In the video I show you how to ride through Punxsutawney to reconnect with the trail. Then you can ride on to the village of Cloe and there is even more trail beyond Cloe which I did not ride in making this video. That will be a video for another day. I don't know why there is no sign where you make the right hand turn into the parking lot. I'm guessing that the business owners in there did not want a sign there because I can't think of any other reason for their not to be. The rest of the trail as well marked , including through Punxsutawney.
