On this trip, we hiked the famous Adolf Munkel Trail, one of the most well-known trails in the Dolomites, located at the foot of the impressive Odle/Geisler mountains. Although the weather wasn't entirely cooperative, with rain, fog, and very cold temperatures, the scenery made the hike completely worthwhile. The trail is named after Adolf Munkel, a mountaineer and lover of these mountains who helped popularize this historic route through mountain huts and alpine forests.
