99 Days to Renew My CCIE – Pivoting from OSCP+ and Resetting the Plan

I just realized I have 99 days left to renew my CCIE Automation (formerly CCIE DevNet), so I’ve had to slam the brakes on my OSCP+ grind and pivot hard back into Cisco world. In this video I walk through what that looks like in real time: how I’m using Cisco’s Continuing Education portal to track my credits, what combinations of exams, labs, and training can renew a CCIE, and why this certification still means so much to me after all the hours (and money) already invested. I also break down how I’m attacking the DEVCOR 350-901 blueprint, using INE’s DevNet/automation path, labs with NETCONF/RESTCONF, YANG models, Grafana/Telegraf stacks, and Cisco’s Yang Suite to actually make the concepts stick instead of just memorizing buzzwords. Along the way I share how my study process has evolved: first-pass reading vs. deep-dive labbing, mixing multiple instructors and materials, and balancing “getting it done” with actually becoming a better network automation engineer for work and consulting. If you’ve ever had to pivot your study plan, juggle multiple big certs, or felt torn between OSCP-style hacking labs and automation-focused CCIE prep, this is for you. I’m just hitting record, talking through the journey, and staying transparent about the tradeoffs, mistakes, and mindset shifts. If you’re on any CCNP/CCIE DevNet/Automation track, OSCP+, or just building your own network automation skills, I hope this helps you feel less alone in the grind. #andreking #ccie #ccieautomation
