SUP it and See 2: Board Scilly

The goal was to get blind stand up paddle-boarder Dean “Deano” Dunbar from the Scilly Isles to Sennen, in Cornwall. This meant a crossing of 50km, over open sea, and some of the UK’s most dangerous and busiest shipping lanes. Whether he was standing, kneeling or even prone. The team said they would get him there, and on the 24th of June, 2015 they did just that. The team was made up of 4 highly experienced sea SUPers – Carl and Jason Sawyer, Ian Phillips, and Mark Richardson – and Deano. Not only is Deano the first registered blind person to do this crossing, but Carl and Deano are the first people to do it on inflatable stand up paddle-boards. Board Scilly is the 2nd film in the SUP it and See series, made by Dave Robson. The first SUP it and See followed Deano, Carl, and Jason on their 96km paddle from Fort William on the west coast of Scotland to Inverness on the east.
