There are several recalls for these vehicles, but here are two that I think are super important: Parking malfunction - In April 2016, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) ordered a recall of 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokees, which use an electronic gear shifter, because it sometimes does not go into (or does not remain in) the park position. People have reported that they put the car in park and left the engine running, but PARK was not engaged and the car rolled away under its own power. Braking system There are multiple recalls concerning the braking system. One indicates that “water inside could freeze and limit the braking ability of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash”. Another states that “If the brake booster shield was not installed properly, the vehicle's braking ability may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.” Content:
