Celebrities remember Sir Ken Dodd at his funeral in Liverpool

Celebrities including Roy Chubby Brown, Ricky Tomlinson and Les Dennis joined hundreds of fans paying their final respects to comedian Sir Ken Dodd as his funeral was held today. Fans lined the streets of Liverpool with tickle sticks for the thanksgiving service at the city's Anglican cathedral (bottom centre). A horse-drawn hearse, a nod to his father's job as a coal merchant, led the funeral cortege from his home in Knotty Ash. The much-loved comedian, aged 90, died at his home earlier this month, two days after marrying his partner Anne Jones (bottom left, today). His funeral service was open to the public, with a large screen broadcasting the ceremony for mourners outside the cathedral. Comedian Jimmy Tarbuck (bottom right) spoke during the service, describing Sir Ken as 'the greatest stage comic I've ever seen'. Diddymen followed Sir Ken's coffin as it was carried out of the cathedral (top). Original Article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic... Original Video: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news...
