My Last Summer Day Before the First Day of School (School Bus Driver Life)

Today on Oobie’s Tips, it’s bittersweet — the last day of summer before the school year begins. As a school bus driver in North Georgia, I’m taking you along to see what happens before the first day back. We’ll visit the bus shop, check on my route bus that’s being serviced, and get an exclusive look at our brand-new 2025 Thomas C2 Saf-T-Liner buses. This is HUGE for us — for the first time ever, our big buses are getting air conditioning (yes, no more melting in the summer heat!) and seat belts for extra safety. Even though Georgia doesn’t require them, we’re adding them to all our new buses and retrofitting older ones from 2017 forward.
