Hogback Hill Palmyra Harescramble WNY Fall Series 2025 - Expert/AA

Quite the race for sure. Was doing great first lap got up to 6th overall for a while. A few mins into lap 2 and I nailed my shoulder on a tree which threw me off the bike. Took me a little to get back into the flow after that and just as I started to catch the pack again I had a bad get off (what you saw in the intro clip). I ended up getting a huge thorn stuck in my arm, as well as bruising up my body pretty bad. My shifter also broke but I got at least a little bit of luck as I found one on the ground a few mins later!! I stopped to put that on my bike and tried my best to make it to the finish. Not the result I wanted at all, especially knowing I could have been 7th or 8th overall easily without the mistakes. Oh well it happens… Interesting way to end the season, and I’ve got a few doctors visits to get myself to this next week to make sure I’m not permanently banged up from any of this season and this race in particular.
