At Christmas time, we as Christians celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus, and in the preceding period of Advent, we commemorate the time of waiting for the arrival of the Messiah. For us New Apostolic Christians, Advent also symbolizes the present-day waiting for the return of Jesus Christ. In our District Church, Advent 2015 was marked by an additional highlight; namely, the visit of Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider to Cape Town. During this visit, he conducted a divine service at Tafelsig on Sunday 13 December, which was preceded by a concert at Silvertown on Saturday 12 December.
