The plaintiffs, a father and daughter, say they opened their home to the defendant and treated her like family when she had nowhere else to go. They claim she moved out without notice to live with her boyfriend and are suing for unpaid rent, food costs and laundry expenses. The defendant says she and the daughter were close friends and that she often helped with the daughter’s teenage son.
