2020 Ben van Dijk - bass trombone Adagio Albinoni

Adagio in G minor - Tomaso Albinoni This beautiful composition was already for a long time on my wish-list to record. Listening to the great Maurice André play it on trumpet but also Lara Fabian singing it, inspired me. Valerio Valter provided me with this wonderful arrangement, so no excuse to give it a go. Of all the videos I made in the last half year of Corona free time, this is one of the most challenging ones for sure. A challenge in legato playing but also for controlling the higher register of my bass trombone. Martin Van Den Berg helped me with the mix (reverb) and mastering! This composition also gives me an emotional feeling thinking about all those who died of Covid19 in the last 6 month.
