Mask wetfolding Basics pt1
Tutorial on how to fold an origami mask using some basic techniques. Create a true paper sculpture! Part 1 shows how to create eyes, a nose and a mouth. Part 2 will show how to shape the head and hairs. Recommended paper: Arches 300 gsm or more watercolor paper. Vary your paper size and ratio for different results! This will also work with elephant hide but it’s easiest to learn with thick watercolor paper. I used a 30x30cm square. This is mostly freefolding with no references, but I chose technique where you can’t go wrong on choosing proportions. Just make sure to make your pleats big enough.
