The British Army’s Self-Loading Rifle - a brief intro
We recently added an L1A1 to our firing collection. More commonly known as the ‘SLR’ (self loading rifle) it was an FN design adopted by the British Army in the 1950s and was actually the last personal weapon of British Vickers machine gunners - who fancies carrying that with a tripod on your back?!?
