KT Arc First Impressions and Features Overview.

Choosing the best parawing board for light wind conditions requires a shape that balances early water release with maximum stability before you get up on foil. In this video, Green Hat Kiteboarding team rider Ed Junquet shares his first session feedback on the highly anticipated KT Arc Pro Carbon 88L. After spending the winter riding the 95 liter KT Super K2, Ed was eager to test this new design at our local spots to see exactly how the updated dimensions and contour changes impact performance on the water. Although dropping down in volume, Ed discovered that the flatter bottom profile and intentional deck concave system actually provided a more stable platform than his previous setup. Paired with a five meter wing in fifteen mile per hour winds, and later tested with the Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 and a KT Atlas 960 foil, the Arc proved that a wider profile does not hurt your takeoff speed. Ed breaks down how the added nose and tail rocker create a lively feel that excels during strapless jumps and quick rebounds, allowing the air to catch the deck and keep the board glued to your feet. You will also get valuable insight into the updated track positioning on the Arc Pro Carbon, which allows riders to push their foil further forward to shorten the swing weight of the nose while pumping. Ed addresses the current industry debate surrounding narrow versus wide shapes, explaining why the width of this model offers an incredibly forgiving experience for everyday riders without sacrificing planing speed.
