Sabine Schmitz is as much a part of the Nürburgring as graffiti on the asphalt. I had the privilege of experiencing my first lap of the Nordschleife alongside her, in the BMW Ringtaxi, an M5 E34 that was still quite casually tuned for safety with the help of a robust integrated Matter cage. After the first three corners, I realized that it wasn't really necessary, because Sabine is a phenomenally good driver, and I'm just as good a co-driver.
