In this tutorial, I share a complete start-to-finish workflow focused on building depth and mood in a very low-contrast foggy landscape. The image was taken handheld in the Dolomites during heavy fog. At first glance, it looks flat and lifeless — but the real issue is the lack of tonal separation. I’ll show how I create structure without destroying the atmosphere, working first in Lightroom and then refining the image in Photoshop using TK9.
