Hemmed in on all sides by neighbouring kingdoms not willing to risk the plague getting out and evolving to affect non-ponies, the citizens of Equestria are doing the best they can to survive and not be found by the Infected. That includes the survivors left in Ponyville - including the previously successful fashion designer Rarity Belle. That is, until she spots a stranger walking away from Twilight's castle one day. And the castle wards are gone.
