The Haunted Dresser
A Haunted Dresser from Tipperary This s is a brilliant for loads and loads and loads of reasons. It’s a video I recorded with Anne Russell in her home outside of Roscrea in Co. Tipperary last week and its pure gold. In my part of Wexford I grew up hearing stories of strange activities happening to dressers (usually caused by the fairies 😉) and I was over the moon when I heard Anne tell me about this particular dresser and the strange and quare yokes that happened it. So out comes the phone and I recorded this and one story led to another story and then another and then another and then another. If you have 10 mins - listen to this - it’s funny, it’s sad and it’s funny again. Pure Irish, the ups, the downs and everything in between. And most importantly - Anne is a legend and listen to the 'woodworm' bit if you can. Text: @michaelfortunefolklore
