There is the base level urge to buy shiny things, which this appealed to, but I also like pens, and also fountain pens more specifically. Even more, I like buying demonstrator pens, and at the same time I also like the rainbow accents seen on this pen. That last rainbow addiction is maybe the most recent, as I got a very colorful pen from Gravitas Pens and found out how much I liked that metallic approach. When I bought this pen I didn't realize that it seems to be some sort of limited edition "Iris" pen, which may not be available anymore, but the regular demonstrator variant should be more widely available.
