We really enjoyed our trip there despite the crowd, wild parties and a not so budget friendly prices. It´s pricey yes, but there are many ways to explore Mykonos without breaking your bank account. There are hostels and apartment type accommodations where you can cook your own food. There are some kind of take out food counters that are affordable. Also, food markets are scattered everywhere. To be honest, it is more than just a party island. The town is really pretty. It has something to offer for everyone not just only for the party goers. We ourselves are also not a huge fan of wild parties and stuff but hey, Mykonos has a lot more to offer. We also went there end of September (end season) so the crowd was bearable.
