Aluminum Beauty Rings Part 1- Turning & Facing in the American Pacemaker Lathe

This video kicks off the biggest machining project currently in my new shop space. I have 8 aluminum discs, plasma cut from 1" thick 6061 plate stock that I have to machine into a beautiful trim rings that will be bolted onto light fixtures. Our first setup and steps are to use the American Pacemaker lathe and get the OD turned to size and one side faced off.
