Orta di Atella (CE) - Anpana-Oepa, giuramento delle Guardie Ecozoofile (22.11.14)

http://www.pupia.tv - Orta di Atella (Caserta). In the Orta di Atella council chamber, volunteers from the Caserta provincial branch of ANPANA-OEPA, the national association for the protection of animals, nature, and the environment, led by Dr. Salvatore Principe, took the oath. Intervening in response to crimes against animals and the environment is the duty of volunteer environmental and zoological guards, who must be adequately trained to fulfill this role. This is why, in the Orta di Atella council chamber, the association promoted theoretical and practical courses, attracting over 50 aspiring volunteer guards. The collaboration of the Orta di Atella city administration, led by Mayor Angelo Brancaccio, was invaluable. They fully embraced the initiative's goals, contributing to the organization of the courses and granting free use of the council chamber space, thus providing a useful service to the community without any burden on the organization's coffers. The Ecozoofile Guards carry out their work on a voluntary and unpaid basis, with institutional duties for which the law recognizes them as public officials, administrative police, and judicial police in specific areas. In collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, they contribute to the protection of animals, nature, and the environment, also monitoring compliance with hunting and fishing laws. Nationally, ANPANA is present in many regions and provinces, relying on the work of approximately 50,000 volunteers. (22.11.14)
