Caminhoneiros paralisam acesso ao Porto de Santos (SP) por votação da MP do Frete

Truck drivers staged a strike at the Port of Santos (SP), the largest in the country, to pressure the Senate to schedule a vote on the provisional measure that alters the rules for the minimum freight rate. Senators have until Thursday (16) to analyze the text. Otherwise, the measure will lose its validity. The mobilization began in the early morning, at the main access to the port. Protesters tried to block the passage of drivers who did not join the protest. According to truck drivers, the amount paid for freight by transport companies does not cover the maintenance costs of the vehicles. Around 7,500 trucks access the terminals of the Port of Santos daily. According to the union of the category, more than half of the drivers participated in the strike. Traffic was slow in the region, but port operations continued normally. Known as the "Freight MP", the proposal alters the minimum value of cargo transport and provides other benefits for truck drivers. If it is not voted on by Thursday, it will lose its validity. ➡️ Follow more news on our official website: https://noticias.r7.com/jr-na-tv Our Whatsapp: https://jornaldarecord.r7.com/whatsapp Subscribe to the Jornal da Record channel: http://r7.com/mYfx Watch full episodes on RecordPlus: https://descubra.recordplus.com/ Instagram:   / jornaldarecord   Twitter:   / jornaldarecord   Threads: https://www.threads.net/@jornaldarecord TikTok:   / jornaldarecord   Facebook:   / jornaldarecord   #JornaldaRecord #Journalism #RECORD
