Uta Schultz and Andreas Regnit's goat farm is something special. Its very existence is thanks to the two goat farmers' perseverance and their willingness to work hard. When they started more than 15 years ago, goat cheese was practically unheard of in Northern Hesse. But over the years, they have built a successful goat cheese dairy. Their customers were always willing to try something new. Now, their more than 40 goats are a familiar sight in Freienhagen. The goat cheese is sold in specialty shops throughout Hesse. It's not exactly cheap, because it's not mass-produced cheese, but rather a handcrafted product, meaning it's more demanding to produce.
