Historic Centre of Brugge - Belgium - UNESCO

Inscribed by UNESCO in 2000, the Historic Centre of Brugge (or Bruge) is an outstanding example of developing architecture within medieval Europe, particularly brick Gothic style. Also known as the Venice of the North with its numerous canals throughout its historic centre. We visited in June 2026. Also within the Historic Centre is the Belfry of Brugge inscribed in 1999 and the Beguinage of Brugge inscribed in 1998, making it a trifecta of UNESCO sites within Brugge itself. This short video is just a taste of our visit. Give yourself 3 - 4 days to really explore the town.
