Silencio de presencia: en nuestra fe y en la vigencia de la liturgia

THE NOISE SOCIETY In today's society, we are surrounded by constant noise and distractions. Noise seeks our attention and time, whether through advertising, technology, or social demands. Sometimes we seek out noise to avoid confronting uncomfortable or painful thoughts within ourselves. People turn to electronic devices, such as cell phones and tablets, in search of distraction and affection. Video games can become a form of escapism, where the person immerses themselves in an artificial world. Parents often introduce their children to noise and technology from a young age to prevent them from feeling bothered. The constant search for noise and distractions can affect our spiritual life and distance us from inner silence. Silence is necessary for reflection, spiritual connection, and listening to the voice of God. We must learn to find moments of silence amidst the noise and cultivate a spiritual life in balance with the noisy world around us. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SILENCE OF ABSENCE AND SILENCE OF PRESENCE Silence of absence is cruel and can deeply wound people. "Ghosting" is an extreme form of silence of absence, in which someone suddenly disappears from another person's life without explanation. Silence of absence can be self-inflicted or caused by others. Silence of presence is an act of welcoming, respect, and love for others. Listening is an act of welcoming and loving; it helps us feel loved and understood. In spirituality, silence of presence is important to make space for the divine word and to listen to God. Not remaining silent in sacred places, such as during Mass, shows rejection, rebellion, and disrespect toward God. PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS The silence of presence allows us to receive the word of God with love and make space for His presence in our lives. The church and Mass should be moments of silence, welcome, respect, and love. Cell phones should not be used, nor should people be distracted by conversations during church. It is important for children and young people to get used to being present and attentive during Mass. Even if the language is not fully understood, it is important to keep your heart attentive and open during Mass. Live Mass attentively and grow in spirituality. Avoid noise and seek truth and reality during Mass. Pray for a heart willing to welcome God with faith, humility, obedience, respect, and love. Open our hearts so that God may dwell within us and accomplish His work. Let us ask God to teach us the "silence of presence," active listening, and a reverent attitude. Let us thank God for allowing us to gather and learn. *** SUBSCRIBE or BECOME A MEMBER of this Channel:    / @fraynelson   Donations via PayPal: https://paypal.me/fraynelsonmedina Support us on Patreon!:   / fraynelson   My Telegram Channel: http://t.me/fraynelson Blog: http://fraynelson.com/blog ALSO: Subscribe for free to my daily evangelization newsletter: http://fraynelson.com/suscripciones.html Dominicans' website in Colombia: http://opcolombia.org
