Upper Portals to Lower Portals - An amazing high water adventure at Mt Barney

After lots of rain, Barney Creek was flowing and we enjoyed an amazing hike from Upper Portals to Lower Portals (point to point). 8 hrs 22 mins moving time. Total duration 9 hrs 17 mins. Distance 18.31km. Ascent total 1643m, descent total 2090m. This was a difficult hike with rock hopping, swimming, bush bashing and contending with strong waters. It made for an adventure with a bit of everything. One of my favourite adventures of all time. Thanks to Peter who was our guide.
