Calling All Stations - All the Stations Challenge : The Hard Way
The All Stations Challenge - 100 Subscribers Special. Firstly I would like to thank all those who have subscribed to the channel Drew's Railway World (Email: [email protected]) Chapters: (START) 0:00. 00:53 Bus from Bassendean 02:45 Train from Maylands to Perth 07:10 Busport Bus(es) to Joondalup BI 10:30 Train to Butler 13:30 Bus+Uber to Joondalup Interchange 15:15 Joondalup to Perth UG P2 20:55 Train to Fremantle 29:29 Bus(es) to Armadale BI 33:00 Train to Cannington 39:15 Train to Thornlie 41:00 Bus to Cannington BI 41:55 Train to Perth P4 48:35 Train to Mandurah 56:45 Bus(es) to Maylands 8th Ave 1:01:55 Train to Midland 1:10:00 Bus to Guildford Johnstone Street 1:11:11 Challenge Statistics. (END) Key: UG= Underground, BI= Bus Interchange, P4= Platform 4 etc. When I started this video, which has been my most ambitious so far, the channel hadn't reached the 100 subscriber mark, and since the video has at last been completed and uploaded more viewers have subscribed, so an extra thanks too all of you for supporting my channel. Thanks to the UK's Geoff Marshall ( All the Stations UK), Perth's Travelflow (The Race to Every Station in Perth), and Transport of Perth (100 SUBSCRIBER SPECIAL: Elizabeth Quay Station (25) + One Stop, All Lines Challenge) for the inspiration to make this video. I believe this challenge is unique in that every station is only visited once (=arrive and depart), and by extension the whole line, once. This means that bus connections (13 buses in fact) have to been used to transfer from one station/line to another. In the video all 70 regular stations are arrived at/or departed from only once, there are 4 exceptions (listed as part of the introduction to the video), 2 special event stations can be counted as passed through to complete the 72 on the current network. The Challenge started on the 13th August at 07:13am and finished at 10:10pm that day, it runs for just over 1 hour, sorry about that but it was as much as I could edit it down too. Alas a few technical issues have delayed the posting for several weeks, mostly to do with 4K video file size, and the ensuing software and hardware problems associated with large files.
