Yamanashi's brothels were repeatedly relocated due to government policies and fires, eventually relocating to locations far from the city center. The current name of the area is Takara, Kofu City. The brothel was established here in 1907. Though it was completely destroyed in an air raid, it continued to exist as Anakiri for 50 years, until the Anti-Prostitution Law was enacted. After the Anti-Prostitution Law was enacted, a red-light district developed south of Kofu Station, creating a mixed bar district and red-light district. The bar district is called Kasuga Abe-nyu, and the red-light district is called Ura-Kasuga. Ura-Kasuga has a slightly esoteric atmosphere, with bars and bars.
