In this video, we'll see how to change the pitch of a sound using Cubase as a sequencer. ####### Today in this video tutorial, we're going to learn something very quick, very useful, and that will be incredibly helpful. We were recently asked how to change the pitch of any sound—a vocal, anything—in Cubase 5. Okay, well, it's very, very simple. Let's go to the sound we've loaded. I've loaded a saxophone; we select it and go to Audio, then Process, and then Pitch Correction. This way, we can change the pitch of any audio, any voice, anything we want. Okay, here we see that we can raise or lower semitones, right? Precise tuning, volume—we're not going to touch that because we want the volume at 100%, and here we have the root note. For those who don't know, I've loaded a Radio Bombs loop. In the Refraction libraries, the pitch is always indicated; in this case, it's A, so we'll tell it to be A. If, for whatever reason, the loop we've loaded doesn't have anything, we'd have to figure it out somehow. We'll make a video to find out the pitch as well. And we'll have to tell it if it's 3 or 4... since this is something played live because I've loaded a real saxophone loop, not something we created in a plugin, we'll tell it to be 4. Although, I'll say it doesn't really matter, okay? Because 3 is more centered, and this doesn't change anything at all; it's just to guide you and help you find your place. If you look at this one in A, here, when we lower the pitch, the little blue indicator will show us the semitones we're adding or subtracting. It's worth noting that once processed, we can press Ctrl+Z if we don't like what we've done or how it turned out. Okay, we've increased the pitch. If we press Ctrl+Z, okay? Undo.
