Fritz Wunderlich - Bach - Easter Oratorio - Sanfte soll mein Todeskummer (1958)
Happy Easter Sunday. This is from a from 1958 recording of Bach's Easter Oratorio BWV 249. Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Marcel Couraud. *Painting is Raphael's 'The Resurrection of Christ'. Just realized this is a re-post; 'operbathosa' has posted the entire oratorio. Go to his channel to hear the original vinyl transfer in mono. My recording is from a remastering of the original, in stereo and with the clicks removed. The original vinyl recording has a warmer sound than this however.
