Pride destroys spiritual maturity Divisions often begin when a person wants to prove their point, protect their group, or elevate their leader. Paul shows that this is not a sign of maturity, but of spiritual infancy. The Cross Destroys Human Boast At the center of Paul's message is not human wisdom, eloquence, or personal authority, but Christ crucified. The Cross demonstrates that no one can boast in themselves—all salvation comes from God. The Church is Called to Reflect the Character of Christ The unity of God's people is more than just a convenience for church life. It is a testimony to the world that Christ truly changes hearts, teaches forgiveness, humility, listening, and love. True unity requires humility To be united in Christ, believers must renounce the spirit of competition, personal pride, and the desire to win arguments. Christian unity is built on humility, patience, and love. Mission Suffers from Divisions When a church is preoccupied with internal conflicts, it loses its power to bear witness.
