Balıkesir Edremit Yenimahalle Monday Market | June 15, 2026 Hello friends. Today I'm at the Yenimahalle Indoor Monday Market in Edremit district of Balıkesir, which has been serving since 2007. The temperature is 32 degrees Celsius and it's a sunny summer day. Cherries were among the most eye-catching products in the market. Prices varied considerably depending on quality and variety. Edible cherries started at 20 TL per kilogram, while some stalls had cherries reaching 50 TL, 100 TL, 150 TL and even 300 TL. The okra season officially opened today. The first harvest was seen arriving at the market. Very fresh and small okra was offered for sale at 250 TL per kilogram. In terms of vegetable prices, cucumbers and zucchini were 20 TL, pink tomatoes 30 TL, and eggplants and various peppers ranged between 40-50 TL. I also photographed the prices of dairy products, cheese and curd varieties in the market. Olives were being sold at 100 TL per kilogram and olive oil at approximately 300 TL per liter at the stalls of our village producers.
