"Though Shaam heaps a hundred thousand cruelties, your sister's feet will not stumble , I am Ali's daughter, and I will become Ali." This is her declaration of strength. As the daughter of Imam Ali (a.s.), she will carry his lion-hearted courage into Yazid's court and refuse to be broken. "I can forget the plundering of my own veil, even the loss of the family of Jaafar-e-Tayyar , but never your being left without a shroud." A piercing line. She can endure her own dishonour and even the martyrdom of her loved ones, but the image of Hussain's body left unshrouded on the sands of Karbala is the grief she will carry forever. She vows to embody the courage of her father (Ali) and the patience of her brother (Hasan) to keep Hussain's mission alive. "I'll recite the Quran in such a way that the whole world will accept you, O Shabbir , without a sword, I'll bring a revolution." This is the heart of it. Zainab's true weapon was her voice.
