Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Washington, D.C., where he is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump for their first face-to-face talks since the recent military confrontation with Iran, according to Israeli media reports. This will be the eighth meeting between Netanyahu and Trump since the latter's return to the White House, and their first face-to-face encounter since February, prior to the military strikes targeting Iran. Before departing Israel, Netanyahu confirmed that the Iranian issue would top the agenda of his discussions with the U.S. president, noting that the two sides would also discuss ways to "protect Israel's security and expand the circle of peace" in the region.
